Why Dr. Terry Cummings need to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

As a Christian organization we’d like to show our love and appreciation to one of our members, Apostle Dr. Terry Cummings.

Dr. Cummings currently serves as Commissioner of HIBA. His tireless contributions to the game of basketball cannot go unrecognized. As an accomplished NBA player and charitable ambassador, Dr. Cummings should be inducted into the Naismith Memorial National Basketball Hall of Fame; it is long overdue. In fact, it is our belief that Terry Cummings’ stance concerning his faith in Jesus Christ may be one of the reasons he has not been inducted to date.

Criteria for induction into the Hall of Fame include the following:
1) Player, coach, or referee must be fully retired from that role for at least three full seasons
2) Selection and required votes by one of several screening committees
3) Advancement to the Honors Committee
4) Receipt of 75% of all votes cast by the Honors Committee

Dr. Cummings’ charitable contributions include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Sojourner Truth House (domestic shelter)/Milwaukee, WI
• St. PJ’s Children’s Home/San Antonio, TX
• The SAMMinistries Homeless Shelter/San Antonio, TX (Apostle donated proceeds from the sales of a Christmas single to build a playground on the premises.)

• HEMI Clothing Drive/Stone Mountain, GA
• Christian Counseling/Worldwide (Apostle tirelessly supports and counsels individuals and families all over the world.)
• Senior Pastor/Founder of Hope Egeneto Ministries International located in Atlanta, Georgia since 2007.

“The greatest joy in this whole process is working under the radar to mentor people who desire it; mentoring with moral conduct, spiritual aptitude, and maturation to teach life lessons, economics, fiscal responsibility, and how to treat one another in love.” -Apostle Terry Cummings
